Q&A: Jason Maclaren Business development manager, John Good

Jason is “50 years young” and has been in the print trade since 18, having joined third-generation family business (SJ Heady & Co) based in Clapham, London.

He’s married with two teenage sons, and “most happy in a wetsuit trapezing in a harness!”

What is your nickname?

Jaymac

Why did you get into printing?

My father asked myself and two siblings if we’d like to join the family business in our teens, we all said ‘No!’ After my A Levels he asked me to cover client deliveries for two weeks during the summer. The fascination of seeing a clean sheet come out beautifully printed after travelling through a dirty machine and the smells associated, this got me hooked into the trade
