60 seconds with: King Print 

In a coronation year, what better than to feature King Print of Kingsbridge? The firm started life in 1992 as a print and copy shop “with the first colour copier in town”, and the following year added a photo mini lab for one hour film processing.

Subsequently it became a Fujifilm Imaging Service lab. In 2000 King Print went digital for its photo work. Today, director Nick Early says the firm is proud to offer a range of complimentary services spanning printing and workwear along with a wide selection of photo gifts and frames.

What does your firm do?

Photo printing from lockets to posters. Canvas wraps, metal prints and photo blocks. A large range of frames and photo gifts; printed workwear and t-shirts; copying, printing, binding, encapsulating; and vinyl cutting. We also sell Instax cameras, scopes and binoculars

What’s your typical customer?

No such thing as a typical customer. We take passport and visa photos so we see a wide selection of fellow humans

Mainly local

Anyone who lives in the South Hams, including individuals, local groups, charities and small businesses

What’s your USP?

We’re a friendly shop in town ready to help, from a single 6x4 photo from your phone, to choosing a pair of binoculars or scope. And we’re open six days a week

What equipment do you run?

Fujifilm DE 100 Photo Printer, Epson SureColor P9500 wide-format printer, Ricoh IM C5500 laser printer, Summa D60R Cutter and Sawgrass Virtuoso SG400 dye-sublimation printer to name but a few

What’s been your proudest achievement in the past few years?

To be ready to help our customers when ever we can, often at short notice

Either something home-made or a Garibaldi
