The business began life because Frederick Blissett completed his apprenticeship and, in those days, had to leave because he became too expensive to keep on. He and his new wife Mary started up in their bedroom only 20 yards from where the firm is based today. In 1932 Frederick died and Mary was advised to sell the business because a women could not hope to run a business like this!

Blissetts is based in London W3. We’ve been on our current site since 1962 with about 930sqm of floor space

The company employs 36 people

What does your firm do? 

The company DNA is based in the repair of books of all sorts, but today includes digital printing of books and commercial material, paperback and case binding and the restoration and conservation of books. We have a photobook division specialising in photobooks, wedding albums and bespoke books
