The US-headquartered company decided in Q3 of last year that it wanted to exhibit at the debut show taking place at the Wasps Arena, Coventry, from 8-9 March 2017.
Initially, XMPie planned to take its own stand but it made the decision to expand and move alongside Xerox as, according to its product and marketing manager David Baldaro, it will be able to demonstrate its “continual presence across Xerox technology.”
Baldaro said: “PrintWeek is synonymous with the marketplace. I follow it quite extensively and it’s interesting to see where PrintWeekLive! is being positioned for our audience, given the fact that we play heavily within the print marketplace.
“It’s hard to say what we will be showing but we will be re-emphasising the breadth of our solutions and saying that, whether you are focused on variable data printing or looking at delivering a customer journey, it really is the business front-end that is adding value to what you’re doing within a print marketplace.”
Xerox’s 2016-launched direct to object (DTO) printer is one of a number of Xerox machines to use XMPie front-end software and will be on show at the Wasps Arena. Sales of the DTO machine exceeded expectations for Xerox and were rolled out faster than originally planned last year.
“It’s not necessarily about a new press or bit of kit but in many ways it is about embedding software, which is where your successes are going to come,” added Baldaro.
Founded in 2000, XMPie offers a range of cross media, web-to-print and campaign management services. It has headquarters in New York, an R&D centre in Israel and sales offices across the US, Europe and Asia.
