The Coalville, Leicestershire-based business will represent CGS packaging and large-format colour-management products in the UK.
Revolution Transfers will focus on reselling "end-to-end" bundles that comprises the web-based proofing system, Oris Color Tuner/Web, as well as Roland DG’s VersaUV LEC and VersaCamm VS printer ranges.
Jan Edgecombe, managing director of Revolution Transfers, said the company had been "highly successful" in supplying Roland DG VersaUV LEC machines.
"As a natural extension, we immediately saw the enormous impact Roland’s VersaCamm VS printer/cutter series would have on the flexible packaging market," he added. "However we recognised the included RIP could not fulfil the demanding colour-management requirements of the packaging industry.
"When Roland DG introduced the ORIS solution from CGS, we were immediately enthusiastic about it."
CGS also offers a wide range of substrates that include ultra-thin clear film to metallised film and shrink foil that will complement Revolution's software and hardware offering.
"The tie-up with CGS and Revolution Transfers now enables Roland DG to offer a colour-managed solution for the eco-solvent VersaCAMM VS range as well as the VersaUV LEC range," added Heiner Mueller, director of communications and business development at CGS.
