The service, Freeprintmanagement.com, which is based on the Bicester-based firm’s own in-house print management software, allows clients of any size to specify jobs and receive an estimate from Webmart in less than a second.
It also allows clients to request estimates from their existing suppliers, which are then presented alongside
Webmart’s estimate.
Webmart managing director Simon Biltcliffe (pictured) described the site as a ‘lite’ version of the firm’s in-house estimating software, which has already produced around 55,000 estimates and 12,000 projects.
Biltcliffe said that submissions to the site would be secure and anonymous, but that data gained would be used to benchmark prices for particular types of jobs.
“The aim is total transparency. Printers will know what’s happening in the market and how competitive they are.”
News feeds from PrintWeek are also included on the site, which launched this Tuesday.
