The 10-colour machine, which will be commissioned and installed this month, will replace a Heidelberg CD 102LX UV press at the magazine, brochure and catalogue printer.
According to senior production manager Martin Harris, the Roland press is a "welcome addition" to the Lincoln company's production capabilities.
He said: "We needed a machine that could stand up to the rigorous demands of our printing operation and, given the wide variety of products we’ll be printing on it, could offer rapid changeover and makeready times.
"The Manroland team worked closely with us through a very thorough consultation and evaluation process where we looked at all the big press manufacturers. We were very impressed with the performance of the Roland 700 in all the trials we undertook."
Features of the Roland HiPrint include automatic plate changing and QuickChange makeready technology.
According to Manroland, QuickChange helps reduce makeready times, while QuickChange Coating enables the press to be changed from UV to dispersion coating in a 15-minute period.
Adam Robotham, commercial sales manager at Manroland GB, added: "All printers must keep their ability to quickly diversify, while maintaining core strengths at the core of their commercial strategy. The Roland 700 is giving Warners exactly that."
