The 3.2m solvent machine, which offers 600dpi output, comes on-the-back of increased demand at the Wortley, Leeds-based business following a recent contract win with a nationwide retail firm.
Capable of 48sqm per hour output, the grand-format printer complements the group's existing roll-to-roll equipment portfolio, adding much-needed capacity and flexibility in the process.
Paul Austin managing director of W.A.E. Group, said: "Our two existing roll-to-roll printers could not cope with the extra workload, so we had to look around and liked what we saw from Agfa.
"In particular, this model of Jeti can take substrates up to 3.2m in width, which enables us to simultaneously print two rolls side-by-side. I am delighted with our purchase; the Jeti is performing very well and copes with all the work we can throw at the machine."
W.A.E, which has a turnover of £2.2m and employs staff of 34, is an existing Agfa customer, operating an Anapurna XL flatbed over the past five years. It also runs an Inca Spyder 320.
Specialising in sign and display production, the group's client list includes National Tyres & Autocare, Royal Mail and Greene King.
