The Jetrix range marks Korea-based ink and consumables firm InkTec's first foray into the realm of inkjet press manufacturing, although it has already had several installs throughout Europe.
Jerry Kim, Jetrix team manager at InkTec, said: "The Jetrix 2513FRQ has been running smoothly for more than 18 months on customer sites in a number of countries, including the USA, Germany and Australia.
"We now feel that the time is right to enter the UK market, which traditionally demands the best quality equipment available. With Jetrix we believe we can meet those demands and Sign & Digital UK 2011 is the obvious place to showcase our printer to the industry."
Musselburgh, Scotland-based printer Eastern Exhibition & Display took delivery of the UK's first Jetrix 2513, supplied by reseller Atech, in June 2010.
Speaking at the time, Eastern managing director Ewen McLean said of the beta install: "What stood out for us were the quality and the ability to print white and direct to substrate."
InkTec will demonstrate the Jetrix 2513FRQ on stand J10 at Sign & Digital UK 2011 alongside its full range of inks and media for large format printers. UK sales manager Ben Woodruff said: "We believe the build and print quality of the Jetrix is unique and therefore aim for it to be acknowledged as the best-in-class UV flatbed printer by the end of 2011."
Woodruff added that the entry-level Jetrix press would be priced at around £80,000.
InkTec Europe stocks and distributes the full range of InkTec inkjet ink and media products throughout Europe from its warehouse in Oxfordshire, as well as providing technical support and spare parts.
