TPS notches up 600 customers in first year

Paperlinx subsidiary Total Print Supplies (TPS) has signed up more than 600 printers at the end of its first 12 months in operation and has now achieved national coverage.

The graphic consumables business offers pre-press products, blankets, press chemicals, inks and coatings to customers of merchant Paperlinx's operating companies PaperCo and Robert Horne Group. 

Steve Brading, Paperlinx business development director, said: "The roll out across the UK is now complete with the introduction of TPS to the London and the South Coast regions starting during November."

In June, Brading said that some 300 printers were using the service, and that he expected more than 1,000 accounts by early 2011.

He added: "We are now making great progress with over 600 buying accounts - so it definitely appears that commercial printers really do see the benefits of sourcing their pre-press and press room consumables with their paper requirements."

TPS was launched in November 2009 and offers products from a range of suppliers including Agfa, Trelleborg and Sun Chemical.
