The distributor for Kodak professional and commercial media is to showcase Photo Tex repositionable fabric at the NEC event, which marks the product’s first commercial availability in the UK.
The aqueous, removable self-adhesive paper comes in 24", 36", 42" and 60" widths in 30.5m lengths, said wide-format product manager Jeremy Roy. He said his company was targeting signage and photo-retail companies with the low-tack wall paper.
Tetenal will also use the event from 30 April to 2 May to show off three new NanoSolvent papers from Ilford Omnijet, for which it distributes commercial inkjet papers. It is suitable for printing photographic images, exhibit panels and other graphics.
Roy described the product as a high-productivity paper and the next generation of ecosolvent media. The papers come in premium gloss and premium satin finishes, both available in 255gsm and 200gsm. "NanoSolvent is for point-of-sale work," he said.
"It bridges the gap between aqueous, which is often regarded as lower quality, and solvent processes. You can now print at a lower cost per square meter but enjoy good results."
The product was developed in response to increased printing speeds, and offers fast dry printing with no tackiness. Additionally it enables faster print-to-lamination times, from as little as 30 minutes, reducing the risk of ink transfer during finishing.
