The Dunes Way-based company, which specialises in the production of paper, plastic and synthetic tags, has installed the perfecting press at the 650sqm factory, which it moved into last year.
According to managing director Mark Hockedy, the two-colour perfector press will both increase capacity and give the company the flexibility to produce single-colour work in one pass.
"We handle a large amount of trade work and many customers like us to produce their tags from start to finish.. It will also allow us to print more multi-colour tag work," he added.
Tags will run the new press on a single shift with overtime when required. The 102-year-old business uses litho and flexo presses and a raft of finishing kit to output tags of various shapes and sizes.
"Heidelberg are not the cheapest in town, but they are still the most respected and they’re here to stay. The resale value is good," added Hockedy.
