The Stationers' Company is the City of London Livery Company for the communications and content industries.
Its flagship event will take place on 18 March at Stationers’ Hall and Sir David Bell, non-executive director of the Economist and a liveryman, will give a lecture on the future of print and its continuing importance.
The talk will examine the movement from print to digital as well as look at the initiation of paid-for digital content.
"Our annual lecture always tries to focus on one aspect of the communications and content industries, and this one incorporates all three. Paper affects newspapers, print affects printers and digital affects app programmers," said Stationers’ Company communications manager Deborah Rea.
BBC News business correspondent Peter Day will chair the event and lead a Q&A session afterwards. The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 6pm and the lecture will start at 6.30pm followed by dinner.
Tickets, available on a first come first served basis, cost £95 including dinner or £40 for the lecture alone. Places can be booked on The Stationers' website until 4 March.Tweet
