Joint-managing director of supplier GAE, Tony Hards, said: The previous models in this series were entry-level machines for printers that wanted to add a digital element to the operation. This latest generation is better, faster and more productive. It gives firms the opportunity to broaden their product range.
The machine’s other features include a Vibration Reduction System (VRS) and climate control using infrared to pre-treat substrate surfaces. It also has a pneumatic loader holding up to 3,000 330x487mm sheets and an optional high-pile output stacker with a 6,000-sheet capacity. It has a total input capacity of 8,300 sheets during two hours of continuous feeding.
Its variable-data capabilities are compatible with most standard software as well as PPML and VPS formats. Fellow GAE joint-managing director Bryan Godwyn added: Another big advantage of this machine is its ability to overprint envelopes in full-colour. Customised database-driven software enables the overprinting to include names, addresses and promotional messages.
