The Newcastle-upon-Tyne-based business was supplied the new machines by supplier Inkland and to creates a more complete creasing and folding set-up
According to Keith Whisson, managing director at Shiremoor Press, the new finishing investments will cater for the company's B2 press output.
He said: "We moved up to B2-format printing some years ago with the installation of a Ryobi 750 Series press, and this meant that we were having to trim down sheets in order to crease them – adding an extra process to production.
"It therefore made good sense to bring in the larger-format AutoCreaser Pro 50."
The addition of SmartScreen-enabled machines has also allowed the printer to run a more efficient finishing operation.
Whisson added: "We recently had to produce a 10,000 run printed on 400gsm material, and these two products working together made the finishing operation a breeze.
"The speed and productivity of both units ensures that we don’t have any hold-ups in the finishing department."
