Sakurai prints charity promos

Press manufacturer Sakurai has linked up with the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind to produce leaflets and promotional posters during Ipex (6/C510).

David Ryan, Sakurai UK branch manager, said: "The whole idea was that at these shows there is an enormous amount of wasted print. Paul Jaffrae, our service manager, thought we could actually do something useful with the print we produce to demonstrate our machines' capabilities, so we approached Guide Dogs for the Blind to see if they wanted to get involved."

While Sakurai produces leaflets and promotional posters, there have been live demonstrations on the stand by the charity, demonstrating the skills of the dogs to get across the important role they perform for blind and visually impaired people.

Ryan added: "It's been really fantastic to have Jackie, Roland and Andy from the charity on stand showing attendees the amazing skills the dogs possess and really getting across the message that these dogs are incredibly important to the lives of blind people. We have had a fantastic reaction from people at the show and we feel it is one of the best things we have done."
