Pratham launches new products, crosses 3000 installation mark
Pratham Technologies, the Pune-based post-press equipment manufacturer has launched two new machines, Superfold PGV PF 618 and Superfold PGV DX 615 at Maharashtra Print Pack Sign 2010 (MPPS).
Shyam Desai, manager marketing at Pratham Technologies, said: "These machines were designed and scheduled to be launched in 2009, but due to some reasons the company postponed the launch.
We found an opportunity to showcase these machine at MPPS. We will also showcase these machines at Print Pack 2011 in a big way."
Anant Salvi, manager customer relation at Pratham Technologies, said: "These machines are useful for book work and pharmaceutical industry. The government has changed the norms for pharmaceuticals and they require the folding in their prescribed method and we anticipate that these machines will play a crucial role."
Pratham Technologies witnessed a very good response during the MPPS for their products which were displayed at the show.
Desai, said: "We have a very good number of serious enquiries which we hope to convert into confirmed orders."
Megabound’s perfect binders tastes success
Megabound, the Bengaluru-based post-press equipment manufacturer witnessed huge success during the Maharashtra Print Pack Sign 2010 (MPPS) show in Pune. Megabound displayed one single-clamp perfect binder, one joint forming JF500, casing-in CIM480, casemaker CB310 and one Active.
The post-press company sold eight machines at the show. These eight machines include, one CIM 410, two Active, three JF500, one CB310, and one single-clamp perfect binder.
Srinivasa Reddy, director marketing at Megabound, said: "We have experienced tremendous response from the show. The show saw visitors from the interior of Maharashtra who showed great interest in our product."
Customers like Kadam Digital Transprints and Sudarshan from Pune, Sagar papers from Satara and Sunrise Industries from Latur were among those who purchased the equipment.
Sanjay Kadam, managing director at Kadam Digital, said: "The machines from Megabound are very useful and simple to operate. The equipment which we have invested in will help in our photo album business."
Smart Machine, the Latur-based post-press equipment manufacturer displayed multi-utility machines at their stall during the show. Narsinh Naik, director at Smart Machine, said: "I had designed these machines for my personal use.
But then people started asking me to manufacture and sell these products. The cost of these machines are very low and can be placed in any corner of the shopfloor. We have got more than 40 enquiries during the show."
Super Cartons, the Pune-based packaging printer has installed one Easytrax scanning system and one Close Loop system from X-Rite. Both systems are supplied by Graphtone, the X-Rite dealer and partner of Mumbai-based Advance Graphic Systems (AGS). Sanjay Bothra, managing director at Super Cartons, said: "Our main aim was to improve the quality and consistency and simultaneously reduce wastage." Super Cartons manufactures leaflets, brochures, books, manuals, folders, labels, and e-flute cartons.
Ad Mark, the Pune-based importer and supplier of indoor and outdoor large format printers, flex printers and digital printers, sold five Konica KM 512 on the second day of the show. Of the five Konica KM 512 sold, two are in Jalgaon, one at Aditi Arts in Satara, one in Gulbarga and one in Hubli.
Deepak Deshmukh, director at Ad Mark, said: "I am happy with the kind of response we are getting from the printers coming from interiors of Maharashtra. We had not imagined that we would get this response."
Fujito Pte, the Singapore-based company has launched Australia’s leading MIS, Quote & Print at the Pune show. Trigon, the Mumbai-based pre-press house is the first to install the Quote & Print MIS in India. Asim Kulkarni, director sales at Fujito Pte, said: "In recent time we have seen a great urge from printers across India, Nepal, Bangladesh to invest and upgrade their print and pre-press facility."
