Quantum Print & Packaging joint MD retires

Quantum Print & Packaging has announced that its joint managing director Mike Ward is to retire, as Chris Holmes becomes sole managing director.

Ward has spent 25 years as owner of E.W. Cardboard Box, and five years at his current role at the Willenhall-based company following its merger with Holmes Print and Packaging in 2005.

He said: "I have decided the time has come to sell my 50% shareholding and retire.

"The company is to buy back my shares leaving my joint managing director Chris to become managing director."

The £2.3m turnover carton printer has expanded over the years and has purchase Packserve, Whitehouse Cartons, CBU & Willenhall Box, taking a strong footing in the carton industry.

Ward added: "None of this could have been undertaken without a loyal workforce, many exceeding 25 years service and I would thank them all for their help over the years.

"Over the years business acquaintances have become good friends and I would like to take the opportunity of thanking them for their loyalty and friendship and wish them continued success for the future."

Holmes was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
