The press can print at speeds of up to 230 A4 pages per minute or 13800 A4 pages per hour at a resolution of 1200dpi.
The Xeikon 8000 is capable of handling expanded substrate widths from 320 to 512 mm and offers the ability to print 2-up A4 and 3-up A5 printing.
The machine features two in-line densitometers and high-performance process algorithms, which are claimed to help produce perfect colour consistency over time and in-between presses.
The kit also incorporates Xeikon’s X-800 digital front-end that enables an efficient integration into existing workflow setups.
Punch Graphix chief executive Wim Deblauwe called the press "a major step forward for Xeikon".
He added the firm is targeting "the well-established commercial print market as well as the direct marketing and fast-growing transactional printing markets" with the new press.
"The press offers high productivity benefits and eye-catching graphic printing capabilities, leading to maximum profitability,” said Deblauwe.
