The Witham, Essex colour printer bought the fully-automated buckle folder to allow it to maintain its in-house finishing operation rather than outsourcing work to local partners.
The MBO investments follows the installation of a Xerox 700 digital press and an Autobond TP74 Thermal Laminator in 2010.
Roger Wacey, chairman at Printwize, told Printweek: "Maintaining our state-of-the-art equipment and multi-shift working means that we can respond quickly and efficiently to ever greater demands of the current economic climate.
"The factory operates 24 hours a day, 6 days a week so turnaround times are unbeatable."
The 36 staff company, which was established in 1971, had a turnover of £3.2m in 2010 and said it has continued to maintain steady growth in recent years.
According to Wacey, a further enhancement for the company is its Colour Logic system, which enables it to produce a wide range of metallic colours.
"It has always been the management's policy to invest in the latest and best equipment available to enable the dedicated staff to produce the highest quality commercial colour printing at very economically viable prices," he added.
