Artisan Press has stormed to the top, scooping its first Catalogue Printer of the Year award. The mix of work submitted by the Leicester-based printer really impressed the judges, but it was the Marks & Spencer catalogue in particular that lifted Artisan above its rivals, causing our panel to momentarily lose the power of speech. "Artisan! M&S! Fantastic job!" they exclaimed, before recovering sufficiently to praise the impressive printing and binding, which combined to produce a "very pleasing result". The catalogue in question was printed on 90gsm Revive 50/50 gloss using a combination of three Goss M3000 gapless presses and two M600s.

BGP

BGP's commendation owes much to its work on the launch issue of the Bank Future Fashion catalogue, which delighted the customer and judges alike. BGP demonstrated its versatility in printing the 96pp text section on two separate 72pp Manroland Lithoman presses running at the same time.
The Westdale Press

Cardiff-based Westdale collects a commendation for its sterling work across a range of catalogues. Its work for Welsh clothing and homeware retailer Toast stood out in the judges' eyes as it demonstrated Westdale's ability to produce an excellent result on uncoated stock.
