Scoring very highly for all of its submissions, the Leicester-based company drew particular praise for the work it carried out on the spring/summer 2011 issue of Liberty magazine for Tank Publications. Working with the department store since the beginning of the year, this was its first project for Tank. Text sections were printed across five of the company’s Goss M600 and M3000 presses to Fogra 39L standard using Sun Chemical inks throughout. The cover of the 75,000-run title was printed on 250gsm Tauro Offset stock using a six-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102. One judge said such a combination resulted in a "beautiful" product being produced by the team at Artisan.
Commended – Westdale Press
Last year’s winner receives a well-deserved commendation in 2011, with its work for Land Rover’s Onelife magazine singled out for particular praise by the judges. "The print quality deserves special praise," according to one, while another said the quality, "as always", was consistent. The 120,000-run title for Redwood Publishing was printed across the company’s Heidelberg Speedmaster perfectors with 115gsm Furioso Matt for the text and 250gm Galerie Art for the cover.
