The judges diverged on what they thought was the company's standout entry. For one it was Windles' Patchwork Collection Christmas cards.
The handmade-style cards were cold-foiled and overprinted in four colours on a B1 Heidelberg press on lick-coated Stucco board, and were proclaimed to be "excellent and hand-finished to a high standard."
Another judge declared that the best entry was the FC2 modern greetings cards and Typography Collection greetings cards, on which the "cold-foil technique was superb and the embossing, in all cases, excellent", and where the judge "loved the multicoloured birds".
Nonetheless all judges agreed that Windles Group was a highly deserving winner of this hotly contested title.
