The automated workflow software is said to improve makeready, offer faster drying, while lowering ink usage at the same time.
According to Bodoni, the server software converts RGB and CMYK colour spaces to CMYK and by doing so, removes any unnecessary ink coverage, while maintaining colour integrity.
Inkwize, which is suitable for use on both sheetfed and web offset printing process, helps cut ink coverage by up to a quarter in a single operation.
Clive Harper, managing director of Inks & Printing Technologies, said: "It’s about using offset ink effectively, as well as speeding up makeready, the printing process itself, and drying times.
"Combine all of that together and it means that printers are providing their customers with a better job in a shorter time."
