The company, established in 1993, has installed a five-colour Komori Lithrone LS529 with coater, a Muller Martini Presto saddlestitcher and a Polar 115 guillotine.
The investments come on the back of winning two new international contracts for a major print management firm, work that will add significant sales to the business.
Mike Brennan, chairman of Print City, said the new equipment would catalyse further growth in 2011.
"We've always received great support from Komori and the new Lithrone gives us superb print quality. By increasing the work we do on our international contracts side, we hope to hit £5m turnover by the end of this year."
Print City anticipates the addition of the new alcohol-free Lithrone will also support its push to secure ISO 12647-2 accreditation this year.
As a result of the increased workload, Print City has also taken on eight new members of staff in its pressroom, which brings the company's total headcount up to 48.
Gemma Brennan, director of legal and administrative operations at the company added: "All our staff are highly trained and our procedures are continually reviewed and updated to ensure that our service and quality are of the highest standard."
Print City targets growth following Komori Lithrone spend
Barnsley-based trade printer Print City is targeting a 25% growth in sales to 5m by the end of this year after investing 600,000 in new capital equipment.
