Prince Edward visits Cambridge Newspapers' print site

Cambridge Newspapers' printing facility has been given royal approval following a visit by His Royal Highness Prince Edward.

The Prince officially opened the £9.5m plant, which began operating at the end of 2008, this week.

He received a tour around the plant, which prints the Cambridge News among other titles, and was given a special edition of the publication.

It is the third time the company has been visited by royalty. In 2004 Prince Andrew opened a press expansion, following a visit from Prince Charles at the inauguration of the publishing building at Milton in 1996.

Cambridge Newspapers is a subsidiary of publisher Iliffe News and Media. Lord Iliffe was on hand to greet the Prince.
