Visitors to the event, which is free to attend and takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on 27-28 February, will see Landa Digital Printing presenting its technology to the packaging industry for just the second time in the UK.
Previously presented last October at Smithers Pira's Digital Print for Packaging in London, Landa is focussing on what its Nanography printing technology can bring to the packaging world.
According to Easyfairs, Packaging Innovations will see 63% of its exhibitors using the event to launch new products, such as Printpack’s High Resolution Gravure (HRG). The US firm claims HRG offers sharper print quality than any other flexible packaging print process.
Meanwhile, the company will also give a UK unveiling to its 4SIGHT (gravure fixed colour palette) technology, which reduces the number of process colours required to create a wide ranging colour gamut.
The show will also feature 50 free packaging ‘learnshop’ presentations as well as a conference programme delivered by packaging industry experts, which will explore innovations and the future direction of the industry, opportunities and trends in the market.
Packaging Innovations will run alongside five other shows including Ecopack, Contract Pack, Packtech, Print Innovations (new in 2012) and Labelling Inovations, which is new this year.
Event director Alison Church said: "There is a real growing interest in labelling, which is why we have launched the specific label zone for 2013 and we are really pleased with the uptake with only one exhibitor stand left. New technologies are always interesting and we are expecting major interest in Landa this time who will be presenting on both days."
Meanwhile Print Innovations has signed up exhibitors including HP, BPIF Cartons, DuPont UK, IPIA, AMS, Friedheim, Esko, Firstan, The Duncan Print Group and Impression Technology Europe.
