The show has doubled in size since launching in 2010 and Luxury Packaging was introduced as a co-located event in 2013. So far 150 exhibitors have signed up for the event this year.
Leo Luxe, Fleet Luxury, HH Deluxe Packaging and Schur Star Systems among the brands confirmed at the two-day event, hosted by trade show organiser Easyfairs, on 16 and 17 September.
Easyfairs UK packaging portfolio event director Alison Church said for a show to double in size was "unheard of in an industry like ours".
“We have experienced such a phenomenal growth," she said.
“We’re excited about the new venue, it’s a fantastic move for the show which allows us to do a lot more in terms of layout of the floorplan to give a much better visitor experience, but also a better exhibitor experience. There will be a much clearer area for luxury packaging that people will be able to find easily.
“The Business Design Centre was great for us for the first few years but unfortunately became a little bit restrictive as we became too big for the venue. We’re not looking to do a big NEC-style show but the new venue gives us the ability to house more exhibitors and enables us to focus on the best exhibitors and suppliers in the industry.”
The 2015 show will focus on two key areas: Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging. Following visitor feedback, three new features have been confirmed for this year’s show: The Live Design Challenge, The Great Innovation Debate and The Student Design Challenge.
Visitors will also be able to get one-to-one personalised advice on any aspect of their packaging from professionals at the Packaging Consultancy Clinic.
“We’ve also got a new theatre at the show, The Brand Innovation Theatre, which will feature high-level case studies from design agencies on work that they’ve done on some really key brands, but in addition will focus on issues around branding on packaging and branding generally,” said Church.
The Beauty Symposium, The Drinks Symposium and free-to-attend Learnshops will also return this year, as will The Luxury Packaging Conference, which was held for the first time last year. Confirmed speakers for the conference so far include experts from Diageo and Crabtree & Evelyn.
Entrance to the show is free. Register on the Easyfairs website.
