The developer will partner with Duplo and Pageflex at the show to run Symbio V2.0 in a fully automated live web-to-finish production workflow.
Symbio is a collection of tools which enable print jobs to enter the system via the web, and pass through print processes through to delivery of the final product, without any need for manual intervention.
The latest version of Symbio adds the ability to handle booklet work, so when PDFs with multiple pages are submitted, Symbio automates their production in the same way it handles single PDFs.
The update also improves status and tracking with real-time status information about orders.
In addition, version two offers automated envelope and mailing label production for small-volume mailing operations.
Objective Advantage is also partnering with Duplo and personalisation software developer Pageflex to recreate a real production environment.
The live demonstration at Duplo's booth will feature a job being initiated via the Pageflex Storefront web submission software and then transmitted via a web service call to Symbio.
Symbio will transmit all job instructions to the digital press and then onto the Duplo DC-645 Production Colour Finisher. Here, the job automatically receives instruction to slit, cut and crease the printed output in one single pass, and deliver a finished product.
Objective Advantage chief executive Gareth O’Brien said: "By teaming up with a number of partners, we want to demonstrate to visitors just how simple it is to integrate existing technologies and equipment into a fully automated production workflow that can make a real difference to their bottom line and give them the competitive edge to become an industry leader."
Objective Advantage will be exhibiting at Drupa which takes place from 29 May to 11 June in Düsseldorf, Germany.
