According to Alan Barretto of Nilpeter India: "To-date there are 12 Nilpeter presses which have been installed all over India. Of this, three presses have been made in India."
He added: "Nilpeter India now offers these presses along with all options and tooling for delivery from Chennai at short delivery times."
During a demo of the press which is of the same FB-line built by Nilpeter in Cincinnati, USA, what was evident was the modular flexo technology for easy configuration. Including screen with drop-in hot foil and screen capability and cold foil features which increases the printing options.
The press features 228m/min speeds, 40-inch unwind, rewind and waste wind, individual high efficiency hot air and UV drying systems, pull out ink trays for easy set up and cleaning, laminator, turnbar and delam-relam, sheeting and conveyor.
According to Barretto: "The presses are available in 10-inch, 13-inch and 16-inch web widths. The FB-Line presses are available as main shaft-driven or servo-powered. The maximum web speed is 750 feet per minute, making the FB-Line one of the fastest in the narrow web industry.
Nilpeter, a narrow web press manufacturer based in Slagelse, Denmark, had announced that it will begin manufacturing flexo presses in India as part of a joint venture with partner Proteck Machinery.
Proteck is a manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Chennai, offering sales and service for Nilpeter in India.
Only recently, Nilpeter FB-Line had an installation of its eight-colour servo press in Mumbai. This press was installed at Procam Flexoprints which is targetting markets like food, cosmetics, pharma, liquor and toiletries.
