A runner up in 2006, the Manchester-based printer was rewarded for its work with the Guardian Media Group. The judging team described the company as the clear winner with one praising its outstanding colour and overall quality. The Guardian is printed 80,000 copies per hour on a Manroland Colorman press running Bridgewater Newsprint and the company continues to keep waste figures well below industry averages. Its image registers are under manual control, ensuring consistently high-quality images in every issue.
