Set for its first public showing at The Print Show this week, the CreaseStream Junior 75 is built with an increased maximum sheet width of 750mm, allowing it to finish work on jobs such as banners, posters or A3 leaflets and brochures.

A hand-fed machine, the Junior 75 comes as standard with two guillotine-style edge trimmers and two creaser modules with three crease settings. It will be available to market as of its unveiling on 18 September and will be priced around £10,000, according to Tech-ni-Fold managing director Graham Harris.

Jack Harris, who heads up the manufacturer’s CreaseStream subsidiary, said: “The Junior 75 is not directly replacing anything in our portfolio but it is answering questions that our customers have been asking for a long time. We have gone to The Print Show with the same offering for a few years now, so we are proud to be showing off this new addition.

“With the new machine, you can fully finish much larger sheets than you could before, and large-format is really popular at the moment so we can only see demand going up.

“As a hand-fed machine, it is of course not as fast as its automatic siblings. But this is only a first step in this direction and our work now will be to make the machine faster and more efficient by developing that automation over the next year.”

The CreaseStream Junior 75 can cut and crease on two edges in a single pass, meaning all sheet edges can be finished in two passes. It can operate at up to 3,000sph.

On top of the standard configuration, the machine can be supplied with an optional mobile mounting table and a micro-perforation tool. Further developments will see folding added into the mix in the future, according to Jack Harris.
