New substrates include Varitex, a polyester fabric that uses its Color Alliance (CA) coating to ensure consistent colour reproduction regardless of printing process employed. Varitex can be printed using dye-sub, water-based, UV or latex inks.
At Fespa the firm will show the consistency possible with an Epson 9700 printing water-based inks and an HP LS25500 latex printer producing samples to compare with output from dye-sublimation machines.
Other substrates on show will be the Erfut digital wallpaper, a PVC-free non-woven that can be hung using standard wallpaper paste.
A prototype Seal laminator, which the company claims offers ease of use and low cost will be on display to tempt firms that have yet to invest in their own wide-format finishing capabilities.
"The approach this year is to give visitors a hands-on opportunity to try things out," said Neschen marketing director Frank Seemann.
