Solvoclear Easy Protect is manufactured from oriented polypropylene that comprises a siliconised white backing and a clear solvent acrylic adhesive.
It is said to provide high levels of UV protection as well as protection from graffiti and is suitable for laminating to photographic paper as well as inkjet and digital print media, including paper, vinyl and polyester.
Sarah Janes, managing director of Neschen UK, said: "This new protective film is easy to handle and what sets it head and shoulders above anything else manufactured so far is that it is highly resistant to a large number of detergents and solvents and - importantly - stays glossy after cleaning. It does not become matt as other films do."
Solvoclear Easy Protect costs £2.60/sqm, while 50m rolls are available in widths of 1,300mm (£168.83) and 1,540mm (£200). Janes said she expected the anti-graffiti film to prove popular for use on hoardings around buildings and for external graphics in the build up to and during next summer's Olympic Games.
Earlier this year Neschen boosted its display graphic product offering with the launch of several light-blocking products at Fespa.
The company showcased Solvoprint/Printlux Nolite 360, a polyester composite that is around 360 microns thick, with an integrated light barrier layer and silver backing. Printlux is suitable for both water-based inks; while Solvoprint has been developed for solvent, latex and UV-hardening inks.
