The X-Jet will sit at the top of Neolt's range of machines that comprises wide-format presses aimed at start-ups and printers looking to enter the wide-format market.
It will carry an "entry-level" price tag when it launches in the next 12 months, according to company, and is a hybrid UV printer using Xaar 1001 printheads with eight-level greyscale variable drop technology and INX Digital Triangle inks.
The press runs at up to 120sqm per hour with resolutions of between 360 and 1440dpi.
A spokesperson for the company said that because the press is optimised for the Xaar heads, it is a low maintenance machine.
"We are very proud of the X-Jet which combines the best imaging technology with premium inks to produce a printer which delivers high-end quality at an entry-level price," said Giovanni Meani, director of R&D at Neolt.
INX Digital engineering will also sell a version of the press under the name Milano DXN1.
Both companies will sell the presses with a non-exclusive agreement. Neolt is currently looking for a distributor in the UK.
