Muller Martini showcased its re-coloured blue machinery at Drupa, however, the company said that interest in the stand stretched a lot further than the aesthetic pleasure it brought to the show.
Chief executive Rudolf Müller said: "We were successful in demonstrating the innovative power of Muller Martini to visitors. The new generation of machines has elicited a profound response and numerous new projects have been launched."
Muller Martini's highlight of the show was the Corona C18 perfect binder, which was shown for the first time running with PUR glue at 18,000 cycles per hour.
There were several other world premieres including the new Primera saddlestitcher series for the medium performance range, which according to Muller Martini, attracted attention from companies across the globe.
In total, three machines were introduced in the Primera range, spanning the entry level 11,000 cycles per hour A110, to the highly automated 14,000 an hour Primera E140.
Also launched were the new Apila palletizing system, the double stream model of the Preciso rotary trimmer, and the new CoLiner pregathering system for newspaper printers.
