The London-based printer bought the machine from Friedheim in January to bring work requiring PUR glue in-house. Previously, the company had a singular hot-melt perfect binding machine and had to outsource PUR work for small format digital jobs.
The Tecnograf ANT 250 semi-automatic machine is fitted with two tanks accommodating both PUR and hot-melt glue, avoiding waste of materials and time spent on cleaning during changeover.
MTA Digital’s Matt Stevens said: "We need to keep up with market, especially as we are in the digital field, which is ever-changing. Turnaround on work is much quicker and as a result we’ve seen an increase in our turnover. We’ve had no problems yet."
The company specialises in digital large format print, but offers print-on-demand services for products ranging from business cards and booklets to retail and outdoor banners.
