The event, which takes place over 18-19 March, will feature live demonstrations of the EB flexo press, which is designed for printing and converting of self-adhesive labels.
According to MPS the EB, which was launched at Labelexpo Europe in September 2013, offers high-quality print and reliable performance at an affordable price. The press costs around €340,000 (£250,000).
The company is hoping to attract 40-50 attendees to the free-to-attend event. Nick Tyrer, sales director at MPS, said: “It's a machine that would interest a label company with a turnover of around £1m, so we are looking to attract managing directors and owners.”
The event will focus on three technologies incorporated into the press: Crisp.Dot Light, which ensures predictable high-quality label printing with no gear marking; iSet, a new MPS technology that provides a user-friendly way to regulate settings between impression, print and the anilox rollers, without influencing each other; and iStop, which optimises stops and starts and eliminates waste with material roll change.
Also on show will be complementary systems and products from a number of partner manufacturers and event sponsors: Avery Dennison, Tesa, Paragon Inks, Cheshire Anilox Technology and Reproflex3. These will include mounting tapes, substrates, anilox rollers, plates and inks.
MPS has sold one EB press into the UK already, to Limbus Labels, and has pre-sold another to an unnamed Northern Ireland company, according to Tyrer.
