With a clearly thought-out multimarket strategy, Z-Card wowed the judges with its entry. The London firm understood the issues it faced in promoting its PocketMedia products across Europe and defined a clear strategy to address them. It set out to increase enquiries across all markets by 20%, generate £200,000 of additional revenue, increase enquiries of extended services by 10% and increase traffic to its websites by an average of 25% through a mix of direct mail, e-mail marketing, print advertising, website and face-to-face methods. The judges heaped praise on the clear measurement of its campaigns and proof of its success, exceeding all its measured objectives including a 130% return on investment with sales increasing by £213,000.
Z-Card is fully aware of the power of marketing to improve its fortunes with a dedicated marketing team with a clearly defined function in the business. "It's good to see Z-Card takes marketing seriously enough to invest in Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) qualified staff," said one of the judges.
The quality of the firm's awards entry was also praised for successfully addressing all the judging criteria.
