London Fancy Box becomes FSC and PEFC certified

London Fancy Box (LFB) has said it is the first rigid packaging producer to become FSC and PEFC certified.

The Kent-based business said there are "substantial" advantages to having the certification, as it shows that it buys paper from sustainable sources.

The move is also customer driven, and the business now works in close contact with its customers to offer sustainable options.

Sales director Drew Dixon said: "We are working with our customers to maximise the opportunities of our certification.

"Having spent over a year in getting to this point we are keen to promote its advantages in cooperation with them."

To gain certification, LFB had to have in place a management system with documented procedures, identification of critical control points through purchasing, production, sales and distribution and the certified supply of raw materials.

All of LFB's rigid board is made of recycled paper and all the rigid board used is FSC certified.
