Exhibiting at the show for the first time in 2018, the German company will give live demonstrations of its online map creation tools, explain how to create and use maps in a variety of printing and marketing applications, and show case studies of how its maps have been used to enhance direct mail campaigns globally.
“We generate images for printers, marketing agencies, media companies, tourism businesses and so on that can be in any format, any resolution, any size, and with huge flexibility over colouring and styles,” said Locr head of marketing Tony Hodgson.
“I’d say 95% of our customers do their own printing – they are mainly direct mail printers but we also serve a lot of commercial and wide-format printers.”
The company will also hold a workshop session, from 11.45am to 12.15pm on 7 March in Workshop C, where it said attendees can learn how to create highly effective marketing campaigns with geo-data and personalised maps from a simple address list.
Titled ‘How to get something for nothing from a digital press’, the workshop will also explain how printers can easily create accurate, high quality maps of anywhere in the world, at any size, for digital, litho and wide-format printing, without complex programming or expensive license fees.
Visitors to the workshop or the firm’s stand will also be able to participate in an experiment to test the power of geo-data and personalised maps with one of their clients.
PrintWeekLive! is the only UK event Locr will be exhibiting at this year, said Hodgson.
“We were keen to do an event in the UK this year. We do several events in the US and across Europe but we haven’t done one in the UK for about three years and we felt that the time was now right.
“We have a smallish market in the UK compared with other areas, but we feel there’s a lot of potential here. Having weighed up the options of a couple of the other print-related shows and a couple of marketing-related shows, we decided we’d go for PrintWeekLive!
“It felt to us to have the right profile of visitors, at the more senior end in terms of job role, and is pitched more at the influence of decision-makers and business strategists.”
PrintWeekLive! takes place on 7/8 March 2018 in the Ericsson exhibition hall at the Wasps Arena, Coventry.
