Claire Gibbon, head of graphic design and production at fashion retailer Boden, Angel Llewellyn, principal of print buying consultancy Angel Productions, and Jon Bailey, sales director of leading offset and digital printer, ProCo will all talk about the opportunities generated by digital print and offer a valuable insight into what buyers want so that printers can capitalise on this.
Gibbon will reprise her presentation from the London breakfast briefing and discuss Boden's first foray into digital print, where the company ran a dual offset and digital campaign to measure the effectiveness of personalised print and the trials and tribulations of the process and, most importantly, share some of the trade secrets regarding what clients look for in suppliers.
Llewellyn will draw on her 15 years of print, packaging and point-of-sale buying experience of working in both client and agency sectors for businesses such as Sony Pictures, Nokia, 20th Century Fox, MGM, Universal Studios, Darley and Tate Modern to offer an invaluable insight into what buyers want from print and packaging suppliers and how digital can play an integral role.
As part of her presentation, she will not only reveal her quest for quality, but also talk through the process of commissioning the groundbreaking personalised posters that successfully drove up pre-release sales of the film Spiderman 3.
Bailey will focus on how printers can market themselves better and discuss ProCo's move into digital print and the implications for a printer's business model and how they should develop their relationships with clients.
If you are a litho printer considering a move into digital, or a digital printer looking to grow your business, this event will give you a valuable insight into what buyers really want from their suppliers.
The free event, the second in a series of four briefings across the UK, supported by HP, will take place in Central Manchester from 9am to midday on 20 January 2010, at the Radisson Edwardian.
Places at this event are strictly limited. For more details and to register to attend, click here.
