Initially announced earlier this year, the company is calling the latest developments a "game-changing technology" for the commercial, packaging and publishing sectors.
Central to the technology is Landa NanoInk, which comprises pigment particles measuring only tens of nanometres in size that are claimed to offer "unprecedented" image quality.
The culmination of a decade's development, the Nanographic Printing process is said to produce ultra-sharp dots while offering the broadest CMYK colour gamut of any printing process to date.
Landa claims that the new printing process can print on any "off-the-shelf" substrate such as paper, carton, newsprint, plastic and packaging films without the need for pre-treatment or drying.
In addition, printing using Landa NanoInk produces images that are half the thickness of offset-printed images, which the company said will offer the lowest cost-per-page images within digital production.
Landa's new printing technology will be demonstrated on six digital presses that include B1, B2 and B3 format machines, at this May's Drupa.
The company's B-format machines are perfector presses that can output up to 11,000 sheets per hour for commercial and packaging printing applications.
Offering up to eight-colour output, the presses can print at resolutions of up to 1,200dpi and take up an "exceptionally small footprint," the company said.
Also on offer are web presses targeted at publishing and flexible packaging clients. These can output up to 200 metres per minute in widths from 520mm to 1040mm.
"For the first time, commercial printers don't have to choose between the versatility and short-run economics of digital printing and the low cost-per-page and high productivity of offset printing. Now they can have both," said Landa.
The raft of new technology will be on show across Landa Corporation's 1,400sqm Drupa stand. Landa will personally deliver five daily presentations under the theme 'Nano. Bigger Than You Think', which will explore both the technology and the future of the print industry.
Landa outlines Nanography as Drupa launches gather momentum
