Ipex marks the worldwide launch for the 13,000sph press, being demonstrated on Komori's 1,025m2 booth (6/B520) in the five-colour configuration deemed most appro- priate for the target market.
The small footprint machine borrows some technology from the Lithrone LS29 while featuring an integrated control system at the delivery end, like its entry-level stablemate the Spica. "We recognised a gap in the market between our existing Spica and Lithrone products," said European marketing manager Philip Dunn. "The great thing about launching it at the show is we will get immediate feedback from a wealth of customers."
Dunn said that while SME businesses were the obvious target, he also envisaged the Enthrone having appeal for larger printers requiring a B2 facility.
Komori has four different presses from its sheetfed portfolio printing live during the show, including the Lithrone S840P that will print the IpexDaily.
The Enthrone on display can be seen running during five demonstrations slots each day. It will be shown switching from 150gsm to 450gsm stock to emphasise the capabilities of its adjustment-free gripper system.
