In addition to updates of the Insite Prepress Portal and Creative Workflow systems, Kodak has scheduled the commercial launch of Insite Campaign Manager for Print 09.
"Insite Campaign Manager is a fully integrated suite of marketing tools that will allow our clients to offer these services upstream to their customers," said Jon Bracken, Kodak's vice president, enterprise solutions.
"It includes the data tools to manage CRM but also the analytic tools that allow users to go through that data and spot buyer patterns. We believe that we are uniquely providing all these tools in one integrated toolset."
Bracken said that Insite Campaign Manager would allow print service providers to escape the realm of commodity suppliers and enable them to become strategic partners through offering extensive high-value services to their customers.
Kodak's Colorflow software will also become commercially available at this autumn's Print 09 trade show, the four-yearly trade show run by the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC), which takes place from 11-16 September in Chicago, Illinois.
Colorflow, which will be available as a standard feature of Prinergy 5.1, unifies colour elements such as ICC profiles, curves and spot colour recipes, managing the relationship between them and device printing conditions.
This allows users to automatically calculate the impact of changing a particular variable, such as paper stock, throughout the entire print environment.
Meanwhile, Kodak will demonstrate how its Prinergy workflow, which will be marking its 10th anniversary in the commercial print market at the show, can help printers drive automation and lower costs.
Alongside this will be the Prinergy Digital Workflow debut, which Bracken described as a single unified workflow capable of running any digital device, including third-party products.
Bracken said that the workflow would drive jobs to the most efficient device, regardless of manufacturer.
Kodak will also have on its stand a Kodak Magnus 800, equipped with the Kodak Automated Pallet Loader, enabling up to 600 plates to be automatically loaded into the platesetter, which offers a throughput of up to 60 plates per hour.
Other pre-press offerings on the Kodak stand will include a first look at the new Kodak Proofing Software 4.0 for high- quality colour proofing and the Kodak Intelligent Prepress Manager, which provides automatic status updates and reports on plate line operations.
