Keeble Paper Recycling swaps metal pallets for plastic boxes

Keeble Paper Recycling has boosted its environmental credentials and streamlined its collection logistics after signing a 2,000 plastic box deal with pallet specialists Dolav.

Based in Essex, the paper recycler will use the box pallets to collect some 50,000 tonnes of paper every year from its 200 UK customers.

The majority of the box pallets are distributed to clients, mainly printers, within 100 miles of Keeble’s three-acre base. They are then swapped for empty replacements which they collect and deliver.

Managing director Daniel Keeble said: "We changed from metal containers to plastic because they don’t need welding or repainting and they are easy to wash clean."

Keeble Group is made up of Keeble Paper Recycling, Keeble Confidential, Waste Management and Litho Plate Recycling.

It is an independent family business that purchases all grades of paper and cardboard for recycling throughout London and the Home counties.
