The polywrapper has been developed for printers and direct mail companies that wish to upgrade from lower speed equipment without having to invest in more expensive, high-speed polywrappers.
The machine can handle sizes from CD width to over A4 at a maximum speed of 5,000 packs per hour.
In addition, the Mailwrap feature feeders, which are claimed to increase flexibility for systems where feeders are interchangeable between the polywrapper and envelope inserter.
KAS will also user Drupa to demonstrate the Crease Matic Auto50, a high speed SRA2 suction fed programmable card creaser.
The kit operates at speeds up to 7000sph and can crease anywhere along the length of the sheet.
The Crease Matic can handle maximum sheet sizes of 500 x 700mm and can fold up to 28 creases per sheet. It can hold the parameters for up to 99 regular jobs in memory.
The kit manufacturer will also be showcasing its KASfold Bookletmakers and ancillary equipment such as the KASfold 2000 and 3000.
KAS Paper Systems will be exhibiting at Drupa, which takes place from 29 May to 11 June in Düsseldorf, Germany.
