Kall Kwik franchisees to continue legal action against ODC

Kall Kwik and Prontaprint franchisees plan to continue with legal action against franchise owner On Demand Communications (ODC) over an alleged lack of support.

At a meeting held on 11 October, the two parties failed to reach a settlement. The franchisee group subsequently held a meeting on 4 November with law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse, at which the 91 franchise centres involved voted unanimously to press ahead with the group action against ODC.

It was announced in March that ODC could face legal action over allegations of inadequate support being provided to the Kall Kwik and Prontaprint franchises by the franchisor.

The next stage of the process would be the issuing of court proceedings against ODC for breach of contract.

ODC was unavailable to comment.
