The group posted a pre-tax profit of £146.7m and overall revenue of £602.2m in its preliminary results for 2006.
Johnston warns of competition in contract work
Johnston Press, the Edinburgh-based newspaper publisher and printer, has warned that the contract newspaper printing market is set to become more competitive, but believes that it will not be affected because it concentrates on printing its own material.
