As UK agent for MBO, folding kit will unsurprisingly form the backbone of the firm’s presence in Birmingham and one of the undoubted stars of its seven folders on display will be the MBO T765 EA, which will be seen producing the Ipex Daily (see Star Product, p35).

New to Ipex will be Heidelberg’s enhanced range of buckle folders, which now feature the ability to feed sheets in the oblong orientation. This is designed to boost productivity at the first station while a twin-lay device creates two streams to be fed into the second buckle station. The Stahlfolder KH 66 is being launched at Ipex, a combi folder with an automatic cross-fold unit. Depending on the level of automation, the set-up time of the cross-fold unit is cut by up to 80% compared to the non-automated KH 66 and it can run at speeds of 30,000 cycles per hour. Also on display will be the Stahlfolder KH 82, which represents Heidelberg’s most automated combination folder to date.

The new Horizon AF-764F will be demonstrated on stand. The B1 folder runs at 240m per minute and includes a power stop system and JDF compatibility A total of 16 page signatures can be set up according to the imposition plan and other automated functions include an perf shaft change.

Morgana will be showing its new DigiFold 5000P. Launched last year, the DigiFold is a high-speed crease and fold device. Also on show will be the new DocuMaster, which can handle variable data and incorporates a camera recognition system.
